"Fantastic" was my reaction to Tony's exceptional efforts to make a replica of my 41.5 X 21.5 inch, 28 pound B.C. Steelhead. I have been a Steelheader for 26 years and had the good fortune to catch and release many wonderful wild Steelhead. My replica is one of my most treasured items in our home. Tony was really fun to work with on the project and his talent and efforts to insure every detail was to my satisfaction was impressive. He also created a 29 inch Rainbow for my wife which is on the wall in our cabin in South Park Colorado. It too is near perfection.

A few years ago, I had a customer catch an unusually large lake trout, and when he took the enlarged photos and measurements to the taxidermist in Colorado (a noted and very experienced one, I might add). The taxidermist said there were no "standard" molds to re-create the fish. So, he made a replica himself from "scratch." The end product is one of the nicest, most accurate mounts I've ever seen. The fish was 45 inches with a girth around 36 inches, as I remember, and it came out exact! When I looked at the mount and the 24 x 36 print from the photo I took, I couldn't tell the difference. Spot for spot, it was dead-on.

For me, landing a 15 pound 31" Rainbow on a 4wt fly rod and a #16 fly was a once in a life time event. I've never had a replica made before and may never again. It had to be exceptional, more of a work of art than a fish on the wall. I asked a lot of people who was the best and the name "Tony Cannova" was the answer time after time. The beautiful reproduction he created from my photos is exceptional. I proudly display it in my home office and everyone who sees it can't believe how realistic and finely detailed it looks. When I look at it, it really brings back the excitement and memories of the day I caught it. Yes, Tony is not the least expensive artist/taxidermist out there but the value for what he charges can't be beat!

I have known Tony for several years and he has created several trophy fish mounts for me. I continue to be a return customer for one simple reason. When Tony creates and finishes a fish, it is not simply a mount, but a piece of art that is proudly displayed. The level of detail he puts into each and every piece is far beyond reach of even the world's best fish taxidermists. He is the definition of perfection when it comes to fish mounts.

I think the best around is Tony Cannova. He's not cheap, but the pike I had done in 1991 looks as good today as when he did it. It had a very reddish color and he duplicated it nicely.

I first met Tony at my ranch near Pinedale, WY in the 1970's. I t has 2 miles of the East Fork River flowing through it. I'm a catch and release fly fisherman with my sons, grandsons, and many good friends. I think Tony's work is the best. He is a real artist and has mounted all of my trout and has also mounted many fish for my friends. President Bush, DIck Cheney and Governor Jeb Bush were my guests quite often and I know that Dick and Jim have mounts from Tony. He's the best!

I have had taxidermy work done by Aquatic Arts. I was so impressed with his mounting of my stellar male brown trout, that I encouraged my fishing friends to consider him to do their mounts. My last "project" for him was a 40 yr. old mount, of a female brown trout. The coloring of this catch, from years ago, was never to my liking. This past year I asked Tony if he felt he could restore her. To say the least, I am thrilled with how his work has my trophy looking as she should. He did such a splendid job of color choices, painting her scales and rebuilding her fins. Thanks Tony for your talents. It ROCKS.

Anthony Cannova does beautiful work, he is one of the best taxidermists I have ever seen. I would recommend him for any job, on any fish. You will never be dissappointed, and will be truly amazed when you see his work.
